Network Analyst - Model Maker Crash

ArcMap crashes when putting together the following model:

1. Add Solver tool
2. Add an empty 'route' Network Analysis Layer
3. connect route to Solver tool

I tried the same steps using the tutorial data and did not get a crash.

Can you provide some more details on the data source, etc. Did the crash generate a crash dump? If yes, can you send a copy?

Does it always crash when you repeate these steps? If you have a reproducible case, can you send that mxd/data?

I tried something similar MakeClosestFacily, Add Locations (Facilities), Add Locations (Incidents), Solve.

It didn't crash, but it wouldn't do anything until I checkedout the extension in python window. I posted this on the "Geoprocessing" thread

Do you have the extension turned on in ArcMap when you are unable to run the Make Closest Facility Layer? By default when you install ArcGIS, the extensions are turned off and your model will not validate as it should say that the tools are not licensed.

I usually do the Network Analyst from within BusinessAnalyst, so I usually don't check to see if the extension is on (and only to see if BA is checked right after installation).

The extension wasn't turned. Everything is working
