idea Windows Host Component Reboot Metric in ArcGIS Monitor Ideas

Could we add a reboot metric to the Windows Host component metrics? That functionality was available in ArcGIS Monitor 10.8.1 and it was good to confirm that other errors that came up were caused by a server reboot.

Hello. The development team is currently considering adding component attribute-based alerting, which would include alerting on the "Started At" attribute already available for Windows and Linux hosts. Would this solve the problem you're describing?

Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi. As long as there is a way to alert that the Started At attribute has changed, then yes that would virtually be the same thing as a reboot alert and would work...

Hi @René_Ténière ,

I wanted to touch base with you on this request. Monitor 2023.3 introduced Connectivity metrics that track whether a component is reachable by Monitor. Alert rules can now be set up on Windows host Connectivity metrics to notify when the host is unreachable. Does this cover the use case you outlined above? If not, can you provide more detail about what would accomplish this goal?

Josh
