Hi,

I’m having the same issue. In my portal, I do not have the option to create an API key. I am currently using a trial account, so I am not sure whether that affects it.

I also have full Administrator privileges, but I still do not have access to generate an API key.

Could you please confirm whether this is a limitation of the trial account, or if there is anything else I still need to enable?

Thank you!

Hello,

I would like to create an API for Unreal Engine, but when I go to my portal and click on Content > My Content > New Item, the window that opens only gives me the option for OAuth 2.0 credentials. The option for API key credentials is not available.

Why is this happening, and how can I create an API?

Could you please help me?

Thank you!

Hi,

Check with your portal administrator - there are some minimum account requirements / privileges for creating API key credentials: Introduction to API key authentication | Documentation | Esri Developer

Thanks

Hi Troy,

It's possible the 21-day trial ArcGIS Online account may not support creating API key credentials - I'd need to investigate further. In the meantime, I recommend signing up for a free ArcGIS Location Platform account which will enable you to create & manage your API key credentials, try out the samples, follow the tutorials, etc.

Sign up | ArcGIS Location Platform

Thanks

Mike
