ArcGIS Maps for Adobe CC Extension crashes with missing fonts

In the beginning the extension (accessible from Illustrator > Window > Extensions) worked about 25% of the time. Now it never works. It crashes (i.e., the extension and Illustrator) every single time after syncing when the window for missing fonts appears.

I have uninstalled the extension and reinstalled it. I have tried different base maps and different geo areas.

Is it possible to disable and not sync text from a basemap? What can I do? The extension is completely unusable from this approach; I can still open aix files.

Hello @brent_rambo,

Sorry for the inconvenience. The team has identified and fixed the Illustrator crashing on missing fonts dislog issue recently. The fix will be available in our upcoming release later this month. Meanwhile, you can work around the problem by turning off the missing font dialog. The setting is located at Illustrator menu Type -> Resolve missing fonts. Please let us know if the workaround doesn't help.
