ArcGIS Mapping for Adobe Creative Cloud Syncing Issue

I bought Sarah Bell's book "Mapping by Design" and am stuck on the second tutorial...When I compete the tutorial and hit the 'Sync' button, the syncing process starts and after about 10-seconds and 38% complete, an untitled AI file is created...then the syncing continues, and continues, and continues, still stuck at 38%...I've let it run for over half-an-hour...I've redone all the steps more times than I would care to admit, and still the syncing progresses no further than 38%...I've attached a picture of my screen...appreciate any and all help and advice...Thank You!

Hello readers. Jake and I were able to test and identify a solution to their issue. When having "no basemap selected" for the basemap, the sync was not completing. Once Jake selected a basemap the issue resolved. I'll check this issue out with the devs to identify if this is a fluke or pervasive. For anyone who may encounter this, try selecting a basemap from this option (image).
