Develop an integration methodology between ESRI AGOL and Adobe AEM websites

Is there a way that objects within an I-Frame (embedded webmaps/apps on a web page) can pass along information to objects within the AEM web structure.

If for instance we have a dashboard embedded through an I-frame, can a selection made on an AEM webpage form that is passed through to the embedded dashboard as a filter (or selection) value that impacts what’s shown?

Our organization is using AEM to host/author our web presence and enabling user interactions with one technology that ca be passed to the other technology for further action would open the door to fantastic integration and design possibilities.
