topic stripmap vs grid on highways with large intersections in ArcGIS Mapping and Charting Questions https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-mapping-and-charting-questions/stripmap-vs-grid-on-highways-with-large/m-p/251516#M822 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><P>I am preparing a map document for the DOT which is to encompass interstate roads and interchanges and their corresponding right of way. when I use the grid feature I have many un-needed "sheets" and they don't really follow the feature...they cover too large an area- if I use the strip maps option at a good resolution for the straight part of the road i miss a bunch of the right of way when i get to the large interchanges. I tried making a strip map out of the polygon that is the Right of way, which I found is not an option. You can select by location any tiles within a distance of your roads or that intersect your ROWs.
