How can I get two gps points in the same attribute table on to one line

I am using a Trimble data collector to get GPS points of culverts. I am shooting both ends of the culverts and exporting a shape file right out of the data collector. Each point is on its own line in the attribute table and I need to merge them onto one line. I tried the merge tool in editor but it is grey out.

Any ideas would be helpful

you can't merge point with line or line with polygon or any deferent geometry type/shape, just the same geometry.

if you want to have an attribute to the other shape file , you can use Spatial Join tool.Spatial Join—Help | ArcGIS Desktop
