Zone Lookup Push Pins missing from map outside of zones

I have configured the Zone Lookup instant app to search for the elementary school boundary for an address. When users search for an address or click on the map outside of the elementary school boundaries, the pushpin does not appear on the map. I still get the no results text in the information panel, but there is no push pin icon on the map.

When users click on a location within the zone or search for an address in the zone, the map shows the push pin and results, as would be expected.

Is there a way to show the search location push pin and result on the map even if the result is outside the zone?

This looks like a bug when the "Features within a zone" option is enabled and a search layer is selected. We'll take a look at fixing this in a future release.
