topic Avoiding Duplicate Polygons in ArcGIS Online Interactive Legend for Habitat-Species Mapping in ArcGIS Instant Apps Questions

Hello ESRI Community,

I've created an ArcGIS Online Instant App with Interactive Legend to visualize species and their associated habitats across Australian states. Here’s the app for reference: Link to App.

The challenge is that, for instance, if 20 species use a particular habitat in a state, the habitat polygon appears duplicated 20 times, leading to potentially unnecessary data layering. Is there a way to:

Configure the app to avoid duplicate polygons when multiple species use the same habitat,

Implement a hierarchy where users can first select a state, then a habitat, and finally view the species?

The goal is to have an interactive map where users can look for specific species across various states and habitats, with all habitats and state combinations displaying different species occurrences. This makes it challenging to combine species into a single attribute field.

Thank you for any guidance on optimizing this setup!
