idea Overall App Reset Button in ArcGIS Instant Apps Ideas

For more complex Nearby apps with many layers and configurable settings, it would be helpful to have an overall reset button similar to the one available in ArcGIS Dashboards. The reset option could clear the current search and results, restore the proximity settings, and return layer visibility to the app’s default configuration, all without sending users back to the introduction window, as happens when refreshing the URL. This would allow users to reset the app with a single click rather than having to reset each component individually.

The zone lookup has a clear search button, but it doesn't reset all the layers. In fact, all the layers turn on at once for some reason.

I completely support this suggestion. A single-click reset would significantly improve usability, especially for more complex Nearby apps with multiple layers and configurable settings. Restoring the app to its default state without forcing users back to the introduction screen would create a much more intuitive and efficient workflow.

We are looking at adding this for the fall release of Arcgis Online and we were curious if you were looking for a second button that resets the experience. Or to make the existing clear button do that reset?

Great news! Having a single overall reset option is what I had in mind, so if the existing button could be modified to do the reset, I think that would work well.
