Hi Jason, thank you. However, we face some difficulty. We need to handle a lot of venues and they are allowed to be edited. We would like to use automated approach through script to generate thinned pathway. However, if the process is with manual work involved, it would be difficult to keep track. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

I meet a problem in preliminary pathway generation. Following disagram shows the left side orange unit is with mesh extending to the door but no mesh on the right side of the door in yellow unit. Target pathway cannot be generated from orange unit to yellow unit. I have checked the property of the door is in right setting and the wall is open at the door position. Is there anyone giving me some clues why the preliminary pathway is broken on the right side of the door? Thank you.
https://flic.kr/p/2njTpnd

Hello,

Preliminary pathway generation tool creates lattices based on parameters and data (walls, doors, etc.) Unfortunately it is required to check created lattice and edit/update as needed. So in your case you can manually connect rooms by adding or modifying lattices as you can see below.

.

Hello.

During the "Generate Indoor Pathways" geoprocessing, try reducing the lattice density number for the tool to connect all pathways as intended.

Thank you.

Thank you for your question, Ng! As mentioned by Jinho, here are some things to check:

Is the doorway wide enough for the lattice? It looks like it is.

Is there a Details feature that may be partially or completely crossing the doorway and which was configured as a barrier when running the Generate Indoor Pathways tool?

The easiest solution may be the one mentioned by Suleyman -- When there are a few places that did not connect, you can manually add prelimpathway features to make the connections. To do this, create a copy of an existing prelimpathway feature on that level, then move it into position, making sure to snap its endpoints to endpoints in the mesh on either side of the door. Copying an existing feature helps make sure that the feature's attributes are correctly populated.

Jason
