There are known issues with NoData values with ISDEF Image Services. In order to accommodate the NoData, I would recommend creating Mosaic Datasets that can handle the NoData better and allow the statistics to be generated correctly if you are using ArcGIS 10. At ArcGIS 10, the footprints can be rebuilt properly and the statistics generated will be correct. If you are using a prior version, then manual editing of the isdef is required. For more information about how to edit it properly, log a Support Incident.

Hi, friends,

We met some issues in creating an Image Server service and add the Depth Grid data into that service.

When we use Identify tool in ArcMap, the pixel value is 200 and that's right. But after we created a Image Server service and add the same dataset in that created service, the pixel value of the same location becomes total different, say, 5700.

Also, the NoValue areas (where there could be no any value) become black and are with some weired values.

Is there any special configurations or parameters for creating an Image Server service for elevation data or depth data?

Any input will be welcomed.

Thanks,

Xiannian

My question remains on the NoData issue. I am going to start a new thread on this topic.
