Exporting Blank Image When using Rest Services on Image Server

If I browse to the url http://someserver/ArcGIS/rest/services/WUAGISAerial and then:

1) Choose the "Export Map" (under supported operations) option
2) Select "Image" under "Format:"
3) Click "Export Map Image"

I should see the image data, but instead I get a blank image (if I click the Preview tab in ArcCatalog for this same service the image data displays).

I even looked in the C:\arcgisserver\arcgisoutput folder and found the png image it created and its definitely blank.

Is exporting blocked in Image Server or is there something special I need to do. I'm running 9.3.1.

Strangely enough this seems to resolved itself. I seemed to be having a problem with the rest service being cached. Is there a way to clear the cache. For example, I just changed the layers in an MXD converted to a MSD pointed a service to it, yet it still seems to see the old service layers.

Gregory,

REST cache can be cleared through "http://someserver/ArcGIS/rest/admin" or restarting IIS. There could be a browser side cache as well so you may start a new browser session.
