Activate edit button for custom header of Open Data site

Hi GeoNet Experts,

I have previously edited the header HTML of my Open Data Portal site, but now I can't seem to get the 'Settings' icon to reappear in the header area in order to make additional edits. I can get the 'Settings/Edit' icons to appear when I hover over the banner area, etc. though.

Any suggestions?

I've tried changing my Header Settings back to "Use logo..." and tried removing the custom CSS (which I haven't edited). But neither bring the header edit icon back.

But I don't know if there is a way to resolve the issue without rebuilding the site. Anyone know?
