I have produced a GA layer from Point data of an air pollutant by using ordinary kriging method.
I am trying to convert it to Raster format and to understand the spatial resolution of produced pollution map. Out put cell size is giving this quantity 2.22146629822742E-02 in the tool window..I want to know the spatial resolution in either meters or kilometers. If i want a 1 kilometer resolution map. what is the method to produce?
Please help me.

Thank you

Swat

The cell size is measured in map units. To determine your map unit, hover over the map and look at the bottom right corner. If it isn't in meters, you'll need to do a unit conversion (for example, if it is in kilometers, you'll want a cell size of .001). If it is in Decimal Degrees (lat-long), you'll have to project your data because there is no direct unit conversion from decimal degrees to meters.

Hi Mr. Eric,

I have Projected the data, the map units are in meters, and now i have produced a raster map.

But the produced map has minimum and maximum values different from the original GA layer and source data. To resolve it, I tried it by increasing and decreasing the cell size in raster tool window. But it does not work. What can i do now?

Thank you
