    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Does anyone know a means of areal interpolation that can be done without the Geo. Analyst license?&amp;nbsp; I'm needing to interpolate population density of census tracts or blocks to the state plane grid for standardization.&amp;nbsp; A colleague has come up with a method of finding the percentage of a split polygon within a grid square and applying that percentage to the population density, then finding the aggregate average of all polygons within a grid square, but we think there has to be a better way.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Any ideas would be appreciated!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Kelly&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
