How to use Track Gap Detector at 10.2.1

Could I get more detail info about the new processing feature, Track Gap Detector, at 10.2.1?
A 10.2.1 help document does not describe how to set the parameters or what those mean.

Here are my questions.

What is the difference between [Gap Duration] and [Gap Detection Interval]?

What is the difference between "Continuous" and "OnChange" for [Gap Notification Mode]?

I think it would be useful if the section "Processors" (help document) includes those explanations.
