Dear Friends,
I get the error 404: Server Object Extension Not Found while I create a mobile service on ArcGIS Server 9.3.1
Whats the problem

Have you registered a SOE to a MapService? Please check it in ArcGIS Server Manager. Edit the MapService and explore the capabilities, uncheck the problem SOE, save and restart.

I'm getting the same error trying to create a new mobile project.

I'm using ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 Enterprise.

Under ArcGIS Server Manager --> Applilcations --> Mobile Projects I select the option "Create Mobile Projects". I fill in the Name --> press Next --> select Add Layer --> Choose a Layer / Mobile Service Layer and press Add. I then navigate to a Map Service on the same server that I've setup and press Add. This when I get a 404: Server Object Extension Not Found message at the bottom of the screen.

The service I'm trying to add contains a single point featureclass from our sde database. The service runs fine. Under the service capabilities I've clicked/enabled all of the capabilities, web access, and operations.

Anyone have any suggestions?
