Hi,

I downloaded the installer ArcGIS_Sharepoint 2.1.1 and unzip it. when I did double click to setup.exe it just appear this messege [ATTACH=CONFIG]17737[/ATTACH] and then [ATTACH=CONFIG]17738[/ATTACH]. does Sharepoint need any special configuration? does any one has any clue why those errors?

A would appreciate any help you can bring me.

I would like to know the possible causes as well. The prerequisites need installation of Microsoft .NET 3.5 service pack 1. I wonder if NET 4 works or not? And what does it mean that creation of at least one SharePoint Web Application in the prerequisites? Thanks.

I have this same problem as well.

Run the install and it just terminates unexpectedly. Will repost if I find anything different. Going to try redownloading the installer.

Attempted the installer on the Windows 2008 Sharepoint Server as suggusted and on my desktop just to see if I get another result, windows 7.

Hello Everyone,
I am not sure if this is the case or not, but I have seen a similar error caused by .net Trust levels in IIS.

Go to the default website and select the .net trust levels. Then ensure that they are set to Full (internal).

Thanks for the input, I'm running through them now to see if they have any affect. Probably should start another thread since my problem is different from the title, but the actual error is the same.

Also makes me ask, is the Sharepoint App compatible with Sharepoint 2013? I've looked over most of the site and no direct mention of it.

Redownloading had no affect so not a problem with the installer. My Windows 7 machine is 32 bit only so I would have hoped it would at least open, not that I would want to install it here, just wanted to make sure the installation package downloaded intact.

What version of .Net are you using in IIS for the application pool? It should be 2.0..

The server is running "ASP.NET v4.0". I'll see if I can stand a desktop up and put .net 2 on it to see if it affects the installer. A bit hesitant to adjust my server for 2.0 at this point.

Also just FYI to any others coming across this thread, The script above enables 32 bit apps; however, this may cause your app pools to default to "True" for "Enable 32-bit Applications". Setting can be found in IIS Manager -> Application Pools -> Select an App Pool -> Advanced Settings. If this is set to true, Sharepoint 2013 is no longer accessible and the app pools will be in a stopped state. When opening a sharepoint site you will get a "Service Unavailable" error.

ArcGIS for Sharepoint requires .Net Framework 3.5.1. .Net Framework 3.5.1 is technically just a service pack for .Net Framework 2.0
.Net Framework 4.0 is completely different.
