Thanks, that helps, but it was not the answer i was hoping for. I would like to suggest that in a future update, you provide the ability to choose http or https during the installations process. This could greatly simplify site configuration in farms that have https.
Dean

we are going to be activating ArcGIS for SharePoint in numerous HTTPS site collections. How can we change the default config files on the server so that each site admin does not have to manually change all of the files from http to https?
TIA
Dean

Hi Dean,

I checked on this, and yes, it is indeed a manual process. However, you should only need to update the basemaps, locators, and default map documents. You could possibly export the basemap list, locators list, and map document files from one site that has been configured correctly, and then use sharepoint management shell (powershell) to apply the changes across multiple site collections.

I hope that helps,

Katy
