Maps for Office Fails to Load in Powerpoint

I have installed maps for Office v1.1 (32 bit version) on a windows 7 64 bit machine. We have Office 2010 (32bit Version) installed on the same machine.

Everything works fine in Excel but I can not get Maps for Office to load in powerpoint. The ribbon menu does not load. I have tried to manually add it and I get this error.

Any thoughts on why this is happening in Power Point but not in Excel.

Shaen,

Try this:

1. Launch the PowerPoint application.
2. Go to File > Options> Add-ins.
3. Go to Manage > select COM Add-in.
4. The ESRI maps for Office > Go. Check on the add-in for ESRI .
5. In the Manage option > Disabled Items > Go. Enable the ESRI add-in add-in.

Does the ribbon now appear in PowerPoint? Please advise.

I went through your suggestions but that wasn't it.

I do not and have never had the ESRI application in the Disabled Application Add in list.

Hmmmm, I would recommend you contact Esri Support Services at your earliest convenience. They'll be able to view your screen and troubleshoot the cause of this error.
