topic Unable to Setup a Join Layer Using GlobalID Field in ArcGIS for Power BI Questions

I'm building a Power BI dashboard that pulls in data from an Excel file where each record is identified by a field that contains a GlobalID string. If I pull the spreadsheet into ArcGIS Pro, I'm able to join data from a feature service layer with the spreadsheet using GlobalID as the common key.

However, when I'm attempting to set up a Join Layer in ArcGIS for Power BI and add both the spreadsheet data source attribute in the join layer and the target feature service, GlobalID does not populate in the feature layer dropdown.

Does ArcGIS for Power BI only support text and numeric data types for Join Layers, or am I missing something that will allow for joining against GlobalID / other field data types (as long as the source data matches)?
