Arcgis Maps in Excel - problem with updating the layer

Hello,

I published the layer from excel table with Arcgis Maps extension for excel. I can update it normally (I update the table, then update the layer from the map) until I restart my laptop. When I open the excel file after restart (I always save it before the restart) and update the layer, it just duplicates the whole data. Any ideas?

Actually, it seems like I completely loose connection to the layers created from excel each time I close excel.

Thank you for reaching out. Do you know what version of office you are currently running? Are office updates manager by your IT staff? The fact that it reset every time your computer restarts leads me to believe that caches required to maintain these connections may be getting cleared.
