If I recall correctly, at the time there were some pretty severe limitations on the O365 API that wouldn't allow Esri to do this. I'm not sure if any improvements have been made there, but I do remember him saying that they absolutely wanted to do that, but needed to wait for Microsoft to mature their O365 APIs more.
