Hi folks. Last week I downloaded and installed the ArcGIS for AutoCAD plug-in on a couple of workstations in our office. We run AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 on Windows 10. On one workstation the user can start AutoCAD Civil 3D by clicking on the "AutoCAD for ArcGIS" menu item in the Windows start menu. On the other workstation attempting to start AutoCAD by using the "AutoCAD for ArcGIS" menu item loads AutoCAD but then generates a Fatal Error, Unhandled Access Violation. When this happens we can exit AutoCAD and restart and then use the old menthod of loading the ArcGIS for AutoCAD add-in using NETLOAD and browsing to the DLL. Once that NETLOAD step is performed, the add-in works fine.

I have tried starting "ArcGIS for AutoCAD" with the "Run as Administrator" option and received the same error.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks,

-John
