Exporting polygon to CAD becomes a polyline

Hi, I tried exporting a polygon feature class as a CAD file using the Tool "Export to CAD". I have added the CAD fields before this.

However, the output seems to convert them into polylines (see attached). Even though the shape is clearly polygon, its entity registers it as LWPolyline. I suspect that as a result, the "FillColor" field did not get embedded in the CAD file after conversion (that's the main reason why I need it to be a polygon).

I am using ArcGIS 10.2.2.

Will it be possible for you to share the shapefile. I tried it on a Polygon shapefile and it gives me both polygon

Actually I just found out that other CADs I have from surveyors also have their Polygons drawn as Polylines. Hence I guess this is normal?

How do I input a fill colour into the polygons then?
