idea Adjustable camera angle for vertical flight in ArcGIS Flight Ideas

I survey open pits in mining and it would be helpful if the camera angle on vertical flight could be adjusted eg. 30°- 45° so I could capture the benches between levels on a single flight. Currently I need to combine the vertical flight with an area survey when processing to create the model of the pit walls. The average wall angle in our pits is 30°. This would assist with wall monitoring in open pit mining.

Re: Adjustable camera angle for vertical flight - Status changed to: Needs Clarification

Hi @DanielHolsgrove ,

Camera angles are defined automatically based on the flight and region of interest parameters you input. Have you tried adjusting the slope of your vertical scan?

For a wall angled at 30º, you shouldn't need to add an Area Survey. Something like this:
Vertical Scan - 30º slope

Site Scan Flight also allows you to define a variable slope if you'd like.

If setting a slope angle doesn't help, please share images showing what your challenge is, I may not be visualizing it correctly.

Regards,
Nico
