Put on a constraint on special characters in string field in field maps

Hi,
I would like to stop the ability of the field team of entering special characters in a string field in field maps like you can in Survey123 connect but there doesn't seem to be a way. Arcade doesn't seem to able to do this on the fly while entering or when submitting data.

Anyone have an idea how this can be accomplished in field maps, if at all.

Hi @RobynSnookCCB,

Currently, this is not supported in Field Maps forms. Please upvote this post if you would like to see it considered.

Other ways to manage this issue include having a second field with a calculated expression to remove the special characters. Meanwhile, visual text reminders such as a description, placeholder, and info element can deter special character input from mobile workers.
