Using Enterprise data in field maps

I am trying to use field maps with an enterprise database. We are uploading layers from the enterprise database to the portal through Pro. We have a distributed collaboration between our AGOL and portal. Through the collab, we share the feature layers to AGOL, then create maps, and configure in the field maps designer. My issue is the I am not able to add new points or add points to lines when editing. All editing is turned on when uploading and when the feature layer is shared through the collab. However, in the field map, I can only update attributes. I cannot add features or update geometries (the 'add point' box is grayed out).

Is there a quick fix to this that I am missing?

Are you able to add points within an ArcGIS Online Web Map outside of Field Maps?
