Adding contingent values to hosted feature layer?

Now that contingent values are supported in field maps, does anyone have a good workflow for adding them to an already hosted feature layer?

Would I have to download all the data, edit contingent values in Pro, and then overwrite in AGO?

If so, what methods are available to preserve references in currently published web apps, maps, etc.?

Thanks!

I'm trying to figure this out as well. I would like to avoid having to download and overwrite so all my existing efforts are not lost.

It looks like there's capability to add contingent values through a python notebook and a CSV. A good example can be found in the "Tree Management" Solution. It comes with a pre-configured notebook that can be downloaded and modified. Unfortunately, I think you need to have a notebook server to publish it so I have not been able to actually test it. According to the ESRI team at the UC, it should be possible to do it that way.
