When is Field Mapping going to be made available for Windows 10?

When is Field Mapping going to be made available for Windows 10? The last version of Collector was never released for Windows 10, is a similar plan in place for Field Maps?

Our cross-platform apps Survey123 and QuickCapture are available for Windows and new functionality is being added to them with each release. Collector Classic and ArcGIS Explorer are still supported. Also please look for new GPS capabilities coming in ArcGIS Pro 2.7 at the end of this year.

With that said, we are not actively developing new, native mobile applications on the Windows 10 platform at this time. There is no development planned for ArcGIS Field Maps on the Windows 10 platform. If you are in need of Field Maps on Windows 10, please contact your account manager so that we can gather this information. Thanks!

I would also benefit from having the app available on Windows 10 - it is the operating system of many rugged tablets that are used for data collection.

Same here. We collect most of our data on Trimble T10 tablets running Windows 10.

A few of our tablets use Windows 10 as well, and a version for that OS would be very helpful. It also helps to be able to quickly load up the app from the desktop when presenting or for training, or to be able to screenshot from the desktop for quick integration into internal training documents.

Field maps looks great! But I really need it on a windows platform too. All our tablets use Windows 10, it's organisational policy and there's no getting around it. It's such a shame that there are no plans to develop for windows.

Commenting here that I feel like a Desktop version of Field Maps is needed, even if that platform is a web based app. I'd like an app that honors the settings and configuration of the Smart Forms. I understand it's "field" maps and is mobile-first, but sometimes our maintenance or inspections staff input the data once they arrive back from the field. Perhaps a Field Maps configurable app, or something like that. What are people currently using for this? Web App Builder allows you to add a related record, but it's clunky. Not sure how far away ExB editing is.

So what about people that use Windows 10 tablets or 2in1's that need offline maps? Simply telling us to use Pro is a joke. That's another license of Pro we don't have. Pro needs a named user account, or you have to mess with a broken "check out for offline" process. I want to be able to download a free Esri app, load an MMPK, and be done. Collector and Explorer worked fine for this. For all the money your customers send Esri, simply saying "we aren't making an app for Windows" is ridiculous. Why do you decide for us on what we need? If your customers need this, then you need to make it happen. Don't come up with excuses or tell us to use Pro. Basic field users aren't going to be able to figure out Pro on a tablet. It just seems like you are more and more out of touch with what your paying customers need, and you force us into what you want.

I would benefit from a Field Maps app for Windows as well. It's really helpful to demo the mobile view direct on desktop at our org. We use the Windows version of the Survey123 app in addition all the time for trainings and more convenient editing of submissions for our non-GIS/Field Map-only users after getting back in from the field.

Windows 10 version of Field Maps would be helpful when I am required to do screen sharing demos to my leadership team for project proposals. At this time I have to use a mirroring app if proposing Field Maps. Field Maps is way better than Collector but with Field Maps new functionality using Collector on Windows 10 is not an option now. At the same time QGIS's Qfield has a fully functional Windows 10 app that works flawlessly and allows connections to postgres locally and remotely. If ESRI wants us to use their products I recommend keeping up with the open source competition.

There are some very cool features in fieldmaps, like the new geofencing. However the lack of a browser / desktop options leads me to usually recommend using survey123, unless something unique with fieldmaps is by the field crew.

I would also argue that a Windows version of Field Maps is required for Enterprise customers. All our field staff use rugged Panasonic Toughbooks and ToughPads. There is absolutely no plan to introduce Android or iPad tablets on a large scale.....ever. We currently run a few Survey 123 apps, and have a few Collector apps lingering because of the Windows Support issue. In order for us to really see the true value (ROI) in the named user mobile worker licenses we have already have deployed, those users also need to leverage Field Maps on their devices. In addition, when a Windows version becomes available it should absolutely not install under the individual users profile, it needs to set up under Program Files so it can be shared and more easily administered / updated by IT. Without a doubt, this is 100% hindering broader adoption at my organization.

I prefer Field Maps now over Collector but am stuck at implementing it because our organization has about 60% Windows Surface Pros to 20% Android Tablets and 20% Apple iPads. Those that have phones may be able to use their phone, but who wants to do field mapping on a phone when a larger screen is available? Please make and installer available for Windows.

Yes, all of the rugged Dell Latitude 7220 is Windows OS, and would think that this would be/is a much-needed platform for Field Maps. That we are a small municipal utility and have more ArcPro/Editor roles is not a feasible answer. Looking forward to seeing if ESRI can come up with a solution.

Yes, Field Maps is needed on Windows platform. Our Org has HP Tablets running Windows 10 to take place of a desktop and tablet for the field. Android and iOS OS platforms are not supported to connect to our network, when they are in office. Seems counter productive to not support a majority of field users using Windows. I've attempted several work arounds with no viable solutions. Play.Google.com (Play Store) does not support Android to PC. Also, APK doesn't work as a 3rd party emulator is required, which none is properly supported for our Org. Please develop Field Maps for Microsoft store to support Windows 10 and above users.

Finding out that Collector is no longer supported made me search this up again. Seems like this post is a 'Question' rather than an 'Idea', so I'm not sure if it counts as the Ideas do. I found this Idea (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-ideas/field-maps-for-windows/idi-p/1035597/page/3#comments), which an Esri Field Maps team member has replied to (sounds like they've been testing it). I figured all on this post may be interested if you haven't already run across it.
