      <title>Field Maps App Immediately Crashes</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Google Pixel 7 running Android 16 that I'm trying to use Field Maps on. Yesterday, I was able to open the app and maps, but was running into an issue with a map that I created using the Field Maps Designer. During troubleshooting, I uninstalled/re-installed the app. Now, every time I tap on the Field Maps app button, it brings up the blue Field Maps app screen but immediately closes. I can't do anything. I've tried the following:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;clear cache&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;check for updates&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;uninstall app/re-start phone/re-install app&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;After re-install, I can open the app to sign into my organization's account, but once I've logged in, the app closes&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;uninstall app, install Field Maps Beta&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Same behavior&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Testing on a different phone: Pixel 8a, Android 16&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Works as expected&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Disconnecting from Wi-Fi and use cellular data only&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Same behavior&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone know what might be the issue? I fixed the initial problem with the map I created using Field Maps Designer--I just deleted the map, created the layer in ArcPro, uploaded to ArcOnline, and created a map there.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Annina&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I suggest contacting Esri support and being added to&amp;nbsp;Case Number&amp;nbsp;04092238.&amp;nbsp; The steps below are from the analyst working that case, and I haven't seen a response from the customer.&amp;nbsp; The case appears to be a couple weeks old now with no workaround listed (yet).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Google Pixel 8a device (logging in with DUO - unsure what the DUO part means)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Android 16&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;ArcGIS Online&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;ArcGIS Field Maps version 25.3.1 (Android)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;"May I know if it is possible for you to&amp;nbsp;revert your Android version? If not, no worries.&amp;nbsp;In the meantime, could you please perform the following steps:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Open&amp;nbsp;ArcGIS Field Maps&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;skip sign-in.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Go to&amp;nbsp;Profile &amp;gt; Troubleshooting&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;enable the logging button.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Select&amp;nbsp;View Logs&amp;nbsp;and then tap the&amp;nbsp;triple dot menu &amp;gt; Share.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Replicate the issue (log in to ArcGIS Field Maps) and repeat the steps above to capture the logs."&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.esri.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/333015"&gt;@AnninaRupe1&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;, can you try clearing the cache &lt;EM&gt;and&lt;/EM&gt; data for Field Maps? They are both found in the Storage section in App Info. If you had the old map open the last time you used Field Maps, and the map was deleted, I wonder if its still looking for that map and not handling the fact its not there anymore. Clearing the data should remove the reference to that. Also, if you have another account in this org it would be good to confirm if you can log onto that account on this device.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;OL class="lia-list-style-type-upper-roman"&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If your device is low on RAM or storage, it can cause apps to crash, especially ones that require a lot of memory (like Field Maps).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Try freeing up some storage space and closing other running apps to ensure enough resources are available.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Android Jelly Bean API 16 is quite old, and newer versions of Field Maps may be optimized for more recent versions of Android.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If possible, consider updating your Android operating system.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Just tested clearing cache and data; still crashes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't have another account in the organization, and unfortunately, I'm remote so I can't ask another to try their credentials. However, we do have a test member account for the organization. I should mention that to use this account, I have to log in differently: instead of entering the organization's URL, I have to use the ArcOnline log in screen. Even so, I tried clearing cache/data and logging in with those credentials and the app crashed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks, but I'm still having issues:&lt;BR /&gt;I. I have 97 GB memory available, so it shouldn't be due to this. Plus, I was able to use the app 2 days ago.&lt;BR /&gt;II. All other apps are closed.&lt;BR /&gt;III/IV. I can't update my Android OS; it says it's up to date. My other device, a Pixel 8a, is running Android 16, too, and the app works fine there.&lt;BR /&gt;V. I was able to use Field Maps Designer to create a map with a brand-new layer. Unfortunately, FMD created some sort of hidden field or setting that didn't allow for the collection of data either on a browser or in the Field Maps app (on the working device). This is what started this whole issue. Since I wasn't able to collect data, I thought there might have been some setting persisting in the app, so I uninstalled/re-installed, and that's when it started crashing. I ended up deleting the map and layer, created a new layer in ArcPro and served it to ArcOnline, added it to a new map, and finally was able to collect data in both a browser and in the Field Maps app (on the working device).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

However, if the crash is caused by map data problems, app bugs, server issues, or incorrect configuration, a reset won’t help. Similarly, if using a form template doesn’t solve the issue, creating a feature class/web layer and domains in ArcGIS Pro won’t fix it either.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you do not mind, could you kindly share a copy of the screenshot of the crash?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you are savvy with android debugger you can try to connect the device to your computer and do a manual uninstall of Field Maps. I have had an instance where the device was hanging onto files from an old install and this resolved that problem. I ran the following in command line:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;adb devices&lt;/EM&gt; ( &lt;STRONG&gt;to list current connected devices&lt;/STRONG&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;adb uninstall com.esri.fieldmaps&lt;/EM&gt; (&lt;STRONG&gt;to manually uninstall field maps&lt;/STRONG&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note this will require a PC and install of Android platform tools. I suggest looking up a guide on how to use ADB if you are not familiar.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the SDK Platform Tools and ran&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;adb devices&lt;/EM&gt; in the command line but there weren't any found. I tried this on two computers (in case there were admin settings preventing something from occurring), but the result was the same.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Interestingly, when I connect my phone to the computer it appears in File Explorer but the folder is empty.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
