ArcGIS Field Maps Failed to Sync: Token Required

I have a map in Field Maps made that I created a new offline area for and ever since the new offline area was created and downloaded, one of my users cannot sync his edits made in the offline map and the general error he keeps getting is "Token Required." He is only one out of 10 people that have been getting a sync area with this new offline map. I can't find any helpful articles or resources talking about the token error in Field Maps specifically, so any help is appreciated. He has a lot of data collected that I don't yet want to try to have him reinstall the app and lose all that data.

Correction, he was able to sync one time after downloading the new offline area but hasn't been able to since.

@McKenzieBredemeyer Can the user sign out and in again of Field Maps?

The user was able to sign in and out of Field Maps and have the error go away without losing data. Thank you! I will keep the document in my back pocket in case I ever need to manually retrieve lost data.
