topic Are Templates in Field Maps Designer Forms always determined by webmap layer symbology? in ArcGIS Field Maps Questions

Is it possible to create Field Maps Designer Form Templates manually, or are they always determined by the webmap layer symbology?

Example - Damage Assessment in Field Maps

In my form, a user first selects if the current event causing the damage was a Flood or a Storm.

To do this I have symbology in the webmap for those two categories.

This then determines form element visibility throughout data collection with Flood and Storm requiring some common, but many different input requirements.

However, both work towards a key end result with a scored Damage Level, and ideally the map seen in the mobile Field Maps screen to the user, should show Damage Level symbology, and not Flood / Storm symbology.

It is not possible to have duplicates of a layer in a webmap. I tried that, where I had the assessment layer (Flood / Storm) not visible by default, and duplicate copies symbolised as Damage Level and Not Habitable properties.

"Duplicate layers not supported. Remove layer" is the message I got.

My question is:

Is it possible to symbolise the layer for Damage Level and Not Habitable (combined) and still have templates for Flood and Storm.

Many thanks, Pete
