Duplicate feature layers in a web map

I know there aren't duplicate layers allowed in an web map that's meant to be used in an offline Field Map, but I was wondering if there was a way to go around this in my case. Other solutions I've seen require you to be the owner of the hosted feature layer.

I'm using two organization feature layers that aren't hosted by me, but also uneditable to me. Each of these layers have two 3 copies total, with definition queries filtering for 3 different attributes in a field. The layers are then grouped according to that attribute. I have them this way so that field workers can quickly filter the map display based on the attributes.

As far as I understand, even though I don't have editor privileges for the layers, I can't take them off because all of them have sync on. Would a temporary work around be to turn off sync and then intermittently turn it back on when I want a data update? Is there an easier way to do this? Thanks

Unfortunately, I'm not hosting the data and I don't have the option to create a view. Would be a good solution if it was available to me.
