Apply a form to another layer

I have created a form in Field Maps Designer and saved it to a line layer. Now, I would like to use the same form on a new line layer with the same fields for a different project. How can I apply that form to another layer?

Unfortunately at the moment there is no direct export function for forms in the Field Maps Designer. This would be worth sticking into the ideas pages for Field Maps (have a look there might be one there already)

But in the absence of a direct method you can go through ArcGIS Online Assistant to copy the JSON form definition.

Locate the new layer and paste the copied form into the new layer within the same forminfo section. You need to be certain all field names and types are identical.

If you are unfamiliar with ArcGIS Online Assistant I would recommend doing a new build if you are unsure.
