Warning when no attachment has been made

It would be great to have the capability to create a warning (maybe with a custom message) if a user tries to save a record without an attachment. We require that new records and inspections have photos taken while in the field, so it would be great to reinforce this with a warning ala "no photo has been taken of the feature".

This just came up for us in Field Maps. We are able to set an attachment as required in Survey123. We would like to see the same functionality in Field Maps. We've made required yes/no question asking if they included a photo, but this doesn't force a photo to be taken.

This has been implemented in the June 2026 release of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1. See this topic to get started.
