Totally agree, we use to copy the attributes from one line to create two of them instead of splitting them. Very tedious work now. So splitting would be great functionality for us.
Please add COGO functionality too. This will make it possible to translate field measurements to features on the map.

We would also like to have these features added to Field Maps for editing purposes. These would increase the accuracy of the data collected, and increase the efficiency of the data collection and editing processes.

For land use mapping, we urgently need the ability to split polygons in field maps. In this way we could collect topologically correct data in an effective way.

I agree having the ability to do a split in Field Maps would save a lot of work between Field crews and office crews. We sometimes have part of a line on a service replaced so they either have to drawn in a brand new line so the entire lines attributes are not updated or call into the office and tell us where to split it and then they can update the attributes on the appropriate section. If they could just split right in the field and update accordingly it would be a huge timesaver.

For mapping different vegetation we urgently need the split in Field Maps. The lack of functionality in field maps is making us go back to paper and pencil and then on a later occasion map out features in ArcGIS pro. It would really safe time to have the split in Field Maps.

It is very important to have the split function for polygons in Field Maps. Reshape or Auto complete polygon would also be very helpful working with polygons in Field Maps. It will be a huge time saver both for the field crew and the post processing work at the office will be very little or none. When mapping different and often complex boundaries between vegetation classes, it would be very good to have possibility of pen mapping.

I totally agree with everything that´s been written above.....

I have been using mobile versions of ArcGIS since 2008, ArcPad, Collector e.t.c. Not having the option to split, reshape and auto complete is giving me and our teams a lot of problems. It it quite embarrassing to know that our field workers are actually starting to use print outs again, drawing on them with paper and then do the mapping when back in office. Here in Iceland we do not have the privilege of 3, 4 and 5 G mobile connection everywhere. We need to be able to create our custom maps, download them and actually do mapping with field maps. Then with "Split", "Reshape" and "AutoComplete polygons". Please make these options available to us.

We also need to split polygons and lines to modify vegetation control areas under power lines. Actually, areas are digitalized in the office using photogrammetry tools. Field technicians are then going to the field to validate and adjust the polygons. Actually, they use the drawing layer to identify what needs to be adjusted and they make the modifications back in the office using a Web AppBuiler App or with ArcGIS Pro, which is not efficient at all.

Hi all. I came across this issue yesterday. I know surveyors can snap in Field Maps when creating features but this does not seem to be possible when editing an existing feature's geometry? Would also be a massive benefit if features could be traced to improve efficiencies in the field

The possibility of automatic completion when digitizing polygons would be fantastic if it worked properly. I also wonder why this feature is standard in QField but is not offered by ESRI in FIeldMaps. In my opinion, this option must be implemented, as gaps between polygons, such as when mapping habitat type, result in a significant amount of extra work during post-processing. Therefore, I hope for a timely implementation of this feature! Otherwise, as many others in our field of work have already done, we will have to turn to other app solutions.
