Support Big Integer field type in ArcGIS Field Maps

ArcGIS Pro allows users to create fields with the Big Integer type, which improves data management workflows by supporting large numeric values. However, ArcGIS Field Maps does not currently support this field type. As a result, users cannot edit or collect data stored in Big Integer fields through Field Maps. Supporting Big Integer fields in ArcGIS Field Maps would significantly enhance usability and ensure consistency across the ArcGIS system.

What happens if you set up a database field with Big Integer in ArcGIS Pro and try to use that field in ArcGIS Field Maps data collection?

Is there a specific error that is thrown?

If an error is thrown, can you provide a screenshot of that error?

Hi @Yanin,

One of my recommendations, and one that we are currently using, is instead to create a field with the data type set to Double and set the number of decimal places to 0. This will also bypass the need to consistently change the data type in the database if you are using numbers of a larger size. Numerical datatypes will behave the same regardless of the specific type.
