Have a Metric Option for Geofences

Currently, the buffer units for geofences are in US Standard only. Would we be able to get a Metric option as well? In the past, I just have to convert 100m buffers to ft then enter the conversion, but having the program do this automatically would save a second or two.

Depends on your organisation settings under map menu. If you change these to metric then you can see buffer units in meters.

This is supported today.

In your user settings you can choose units

If you select "Metric", then you will have a meters option for geofence buffers

@JustinColville Sorry for the delay in responding! I would prefer not to have to change all my settings, just for one geofence. If there was something at at the geofence setup level that could convert the units without changing all my user settings. Sometimes our clients send us measurements in meters, but we use US standard as a default. Thanks for your help!

@GISJess could you change it for the updates to this one map then change back? I would assume the system is smart enough that it does the conversion for existing values on the fly when you switch. Might be the simplest work around.

@LindsayRaabe_FPCWA Yes, that would be the way to go about this. Luckily, it's a possibility, but to be able to change it project by project would be nice. Thanks!
