La navigation avec Field Maps est intéressante et le fait que l'application Field Maps soit disponible sur l'ordinateur de bord du véhicule faciliterait les actes de suivi (dans notre cas de canalisation).
Aussi l'accès à Field Maps à partir d'AndroidCar ou CarPlay serait apprécié.

Navigation with Field Maps is interesting and the fact that the Field Maps application is available on the vehicle's on-board computer would facilitate follow-up actions (in our case of channelling).
Also access to Field Maps from AndroidCar or CarPlay would be appreciated.

I work in Forestry and I'm sure our civil engineers would love the option to use the vehicles display unit to stop and record defects on forest roads.

Agreed. Being able to use the vehicles in-built nav system would be handy for navigation and also feature collection (though maybe this is better suited to Quick Capture but full Field Maps control through the dash would be best).

It also means not having to break the law to use your mobile device while driving (at least in Australia).

It is crucial to make Field Maps app available on Carplay and Android Auto in-dash vehicle display

Apps like OnX and many others are available for car and truck's consoles but field maps isn't yet. A company the size and importance of Esri can definitely work with Apple and Google to make that available as soon as possible. Extremely important for field crews.

Interesting idea - I don't believe ESRI has plans to support navigation in Field Maps, instead kicking you over to the default system app for that purpose. However I could definitely see some use cases where it would be super handy to be able to quickly collect a point with some pre-configured options via the in-dash display. Things like pavement management and debris surveys come to mind.

Yeah, our foresters are asking to be able to navigate to their tracts ands stands using Field Maps on their car dashes. It would be super useful.

While the navigation piece would be great I would be happy having Field Maps on Carplay just to see where I am in relationship to a bunch of survey points on my map has I travel around our ownership.

This is essential. Viewing field data from the vehicle is pertinent to being able to spatially understand different ownerships and areas that have data from the past or that others have collected. From a Stumpage buyer's perspective this is essential when data is parceled, statewide, and group memebers are constantly driving by it.

onX Offroad already has this capability.

It would be very interesting to be able to use Field Maps for navigation on car screens via Android Auto or Apple Car Play. In Brazil, we have large farms and Field Maps helps us a lot, enabling navigation on the car screen would be fantastic.

Also agree. Our foresters often work on projects spanning multiple tracts, being able to navigate between them in the truck would be great.

This would be incredibly helpful for our organization as well. Our appraisal department would like to be able to view parcels and our field maps data while driving. As Benjamin mentioned, ONX has this capability, and it works very well so ESRI should be able to accomplish it fairly easily.

I would like to see some traction on this topic. It looks like it has been talked about for almost 7 years now and would think that there would be some sort of plan in place.

Having this in our organization would be extremely beneficial both for operations and from a health and safety stand point. We would also understand if licensing changed for the Field Worker licensing to support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

We use Field Maps extensively for our Operators to record data when irrigators are turning their irrigation systems on and off. They also use it to record data from specific areas when they are onsite.

Having this enabled in AppleCar Play in their vehicle, even if limited functionality when moving, would allow them to stop at their location and toggle systems on and off which triggers calculations on the backend.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and would be willing to put a formal business case together if that would help get traction on this feature.

I'd love to hear someone from the FieldMaps SDK Team here. This is important, our people are ditching Field maps and using OnX because of that!!!!

A month later I only hear crickets from esri!

On behalf of myself and all the employees of CFP- forestry department, we would like to express our desire to have access to Field Maps on Apple CarPlay.

We're working on logging roads daily, and it's dangerous to navigate with tablets and phones. We love the features of this app but being given restricted access while driving is disappointing. We've been loyal customers for several years, recommending your apps, so it would be nice to make our voices heard...

Just merely having FieldMaps visible in CarPlay would be immensely helpful and increase safety on our tree fruit orchards in central WA. As the manager of our GIS, I’m often driving around the orchard with my phone in one hand, trying to find a specific block of fruit, while avoiding tractors, quads, semis and other vehicles. I currently export a kml for employees to use on google earth. Having an option for CarPlay would increase the amount of account we have on AGOL too.

Please make this available for ArcGIS Navigator as that will route the user to their POI in FieldMaps. It isn't safe for field crews to not be using their heads up display for navigation and Google Maps, etc does not have our points of interest in their platform.

Dream To Have Field Maps Display on Apple Car Play or Android Auto

We work in local county government and go out in the field alot to verify and check new construction. (In other words to see and find things we may be missing) We typically have Waze or Google maps on the screen of the vehicle and a mobile device open with Field Maps on it to view and check layers like streets, addressing, and building footprints, fire hydrants (for example) . It would be a dream come true to just have Field Maps viewable only as we drive around. I know it may be a huge or strange ask but it would be a dream come true.
