Parcel Identification

The previous ArcGIS App allowed the user to identify parcels on the Topographic basemap if the user tapped on them. The new
Explorer App doesn't have this feature. My field locators use that function to make sure they are at the right address when doing
utilities locates. Will the ability to identify parcels be integrated into the Explorer App eventually? We prefer the new Explorer App here
and hate to have to switch between apps just for that one function. Thanks!

Hi Michael,

You mention that you used to be able to identify parcels by tapping on them.

Just to clarify
- we are just talking about a webmap with just a basemap and no operational layers?
- the ArcGIS app drops a pin on a single tap- and returns an address in a mini-popup. Is this the functionality you are referring to?

We have the same functionality in the Explorer app- but you need to use a long-press gesture on the map. A menu will be shown to let you "Drop a Pin"- this is the equivalent functionality- a pin will be dropped and the address will be displayed in a mini-popup.
