Hi all,

I am using Arcgis explorer and have added shapefiles and other layers to the base maps. Unfortunately whenever i try to print or copy an image to clipboard it becomes horribly fragmented and unreadable. As a piece of modern art im impressed but it is a considerable problem not being able to use the map i have created.

I have tried removing all data/layers etc but it still prints the same. Have tried changing base maps but it does not correct either. Can someone tell me what my problem is please and how to correct it. Any help much appreciated!

Jimbo

Hi,

A couple of questions:

1. Does the mini print preview look ok?

2. If you click the Copy to clipboard button (Home Tab) > then paste into another application - how does that look?

If the map within ArcGIS Explorer looks fine but #2 above looks bad then I'm uncertain what to suggest because it's effectively doing a print screen operation. For any display issues however, we usually suggest updating your graphics drivers as the first thing try.

Regards

Mike

First of all thanks for the quick response Mike, it is really appreciated.

1) The mini print preview shows the problem. The image is very fragmented.
2) I have tried pasting the clipboard image into several graphics packages and all show the same problem.
I can post it somewhere if it would help.

I shall try to update my graphics drivers now, however it has not been too long since i did that....

Update of graphics card drivers solved the problem. First times a charm it seems. Many thanks!
