From this page there is also a link to an automated system requirements checker (current version: &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/1186/10895"&gt;http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/1186/10895&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If the machine in question meets the minimum/recommended spec then I would suggest updating the graphics card drivers - a very large majority of running issues with ArcGIS Explorer have been resolved with updated drivers.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regards&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Mike&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>ArcGIS Explorer will not start</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Original User: psmschultz&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hello Everyone,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;A few users in my company have installed and are using ArcGIS Explorer. I am not directly familiar with the application, but I am responsible for supporting these users. Two of the users are not having any trouble, but a third cannot run the program. When I try to run it for him, I see the splash screen. It is displayed for about a minute. It then disappears, but the program does not run. I see the E3 program start in the task manager, but as soon as the splash screen goes away, that task ends.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I have tried removing and reinstalling Explorer, and we have rebooted the machine a few times along the way. The system runs Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 joined to a corporate domain. We use Symantec Endpoint Protection for our antivirus / endpoint security software. The user is an administrator on his local machine, and the system is current on Windows Updates.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
