topic Arc Explorer 1750 & polygon labels in ArcGIS Explorer Desktop Questions

Hi all, TIA for any advice you may have. We're currently using build 1750 as a viewer in the office with Server 10 SP5 (No SDE backend). I've disabled Maplex, to play around with performance, for a dynamic map service. It contains line and polygon features. Upon consuming the service in Explorer, the labels will observe the rules I have set for the lines (parallel orientation, above the line, remove duplicates, .25 buffer). However, the polygon labels (horizontal, remove duplicates, .25 buffer) will not. Example: Your view extent is mostly filled by a single polygon feature, you will see up to four labels on screen for one feature. Like they're set to repeat. Can I control this without Maplex?

Thanks again,

Kevin
