Can't Import Layer

Using the Add content feature, I am unable to add ArcGIS Layers... Every time I select a layer to add, it give an error and will not import. This feature works fine with Windows XP, but I can't get it to work in Windows 7.

Any ideas???

I am having a similar issue. I get the message "Failed to add layer package(s): filename.lyr (Invalid File). I created the layers in ArcMAP 10.1 and I am using ArcGIS Explorer Desktop 1750 (2.0.0.1750).

Layer packages from 10.1 should be working with the upcoming release of ArcGIS Explorer 2012.

Will the new version be backward compatible?

I've tried layers from 9.3 and they don't load either.

I've since found that the paths to the layer files were corrupt and after remaking/remapping them they now work fine as 9.3 layer files.
