    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&amp;nbsp; I have installed and been using arcgis desktop 1750 for several months.&amp;nbsp; It has worked fairly well, but sometimes shuts down on me when I try to change symbols.&amp;nbsp; A few days ago, it began freezing up each time I tried to change a symbol.&amp;nbsp; Now, I have to shut down thru task manager most of the time, and cannot use the shape files I have added at all.&amp;nbsp; Any help would be appreciated.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Windows 7 Home Premium&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;SP 1&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;A thought, I uninstalled Java last week due to security breach.&amp;nbsp; Does java have to be installed for this to work?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
