Required Fields Not Displayed In Edit Widget

There is nothing that denotes whether or not a field is required in the Edit widget. It's not until a user tries to submit the edit that they are made aware of what fields are required.

In WAB the required fields would be displayed with an !

Is there a setting that I'm missing that will denote the required fields? Or is this functionality simply not available in EB?

I see an asterix (*) next to the field name of my required fields in the EB edit widget. My widget is following the web map form configuration. I think that may be all it uses to denote required fields before an edit is made - I believe there is an option in web map creater to put some placeholder text into the response too.
