Table widget message action Zoom to and select feature on map that is in a layer that is not visible

In EB with the table widget, if a user selects a record and there is a message action set up to select and zoom to the corresponding record on the map, but the layer is turned off, is there a way to force the layer to turn on, or perhaps flash the feature?

You can try the action Record Selection Changes - Map - Flash.

Unfortunately, there is no way to turn the layer on for now.
